In the spring of 2002, a promising young life in law enforcement was tragically cut short in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Julie Rochelle Jacks, a 26-year-old female police officer, was killed in the line of duty on May 6, 2002. Officer Jacks, who had been named the department's 'Rookie of the Year' in 2001, had served with the Chattanooga Police Department for just over three years.
