In the spring of 2021, the life of a young African American woman, 20-year-old Kielonnie Lane Stocks, was tragically cut short in Chattanooga, Tennessee. On May 11th, what initially appeared to be a fall resulting in a fatal head injury soon unraveled into a story of domestic violence and murder. First responders found Kielonnie with head trauma and facial swelling, and she was bleeding from her nose. Despite medical efforts, she was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
