Andrew Graylin Howell Sr., a 24-year-old Black male from Knoxville, Tennessee, tragically lost his life in the spring of 2012. On the evening of March 31, 2012, Howell was shot at 1705 Washington Avenue. He was quickly transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away on April 1, 2012.
Known to his loved ones as 'Drew,' he was a son, brother, and a father to a young son. The investigation into his death was initiated by the Knoxville Police Department, who were first called to a shooting at 616 Jessamine Street before discovering the primary crime scene on Washington Avenue.
