Marcio L. Murphy Jr., a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 18, 2012, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was found shot multiple times in an apartment on Murfreesboro Pike, which had been burglarized. Murphy was identified as one of the five young men who had attacked and robbed Lee Carr, the apartment resident, several days earlier. Carr returned home to find his apartment ransacked and Murphy's body on the floor.
