On February 1, 2014, Charles Jones Jr., a 23-year-old Black male from Chattanooga, Tennessee, was fatally shot at approximately 3 p.m. near the intersection of 4100 Fagan Street. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
