Edroy James Ballard Jr., a 29-year-old man from Horn Lake, TN, was tragically shot to death on June 3, 2014. Ballard was visiting his brother in the neighborhood when an altercation occurred with 55-year-old Gerry Lynn Lofton. According to Ballard's father, Lofton became angry during the argument, and when Ballard attempted to walk away, Lofton shot him in the head. Ballard's fiancée, who was supposed to marry him in just two weeks, was nearby and witnessed the incident.
