In the summer of 2014, a young Black man, Traelle Namont Johnson, aged 25, became a victim of violence in Richmond, Virginia. His life was cut short on the night of June 24, when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred on the city's Southside, specifically in the 5800 block of Orcutt Lane. Police were called to the scene around 11 p.m. following a report of gunfire in the area.
