Police described a string of violent incidents beginning Friday evening: officers were called to Winchester Road at 5:56 p.m., where a man was found dead at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds, and later to Oakwood Street at 10:15 p.m., where another man was also found dead at the scene. In the early hours of Saturday morning, two more fatal calls came in within minutes—one to Craigmont Drive for a shooting and another to Lucy Avenue for a stabbing.
In the immediate aftermath, investigators had little they could say publicly about who was responsible.
