In the late summer evening of August 11, 2025, what began as a planned meeting between two groups in Clarksville, Tennessee, ended in a fatal shootout. The exchange of gunfire, which erupted in the parking lot behind Mizu Japanese Cuisine on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, claimed the lives of two young men, including 24-year-old Makhi Charon Richardson. Another man, 18-year-old Noah William Peterson, was also killed in the incident.

Unit determined that the violent encounter was the result of a prearranged meeting that escalated. One person from each group was struck by gunfire. The investigation into the double homicide is ongoing.
In connection with the shooting, two men have been taken into custody. Havin John Lee James, 20, and Antario Jameer Hyrne, 21, were arrested and charged with tampering with evidence. Both were booked into the Montgomery County Jail. Authorities have indicated that additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
