Montrel Quintres Patterson, a 22-year-old male from Clarksville, TN, tragically died on January 20, 2015, from a gunshot wound. The incident occurred at Patterson's apartment on Lansinger Lane, where he was involved in a confrontation with two men who had come to look at a gun being sold by Donald Johnson, Patterson's neighbor. During the altercation, Patterson allegedly took the gun, loaded it, and shot one of the attackers, Timothy David Shoffner, before being fatally shot himself.
