In the early morning hours of November 2, 2020, the life of 41-year-old Adrian Killebrew was tragically cut short in his Clarksville, Tennessee home. A Black/African American male, Killebrew was inside his residence on Ladd Drive when multiple gunshots were fired into the house at approximately 3:15 a.m. Struck by the gunfire, he was rushed to a local hospital for medical attention.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries later that same day.
The Clarksville Police Department quickly launched an investigation into the fatal shooting. Their efforts led to the identification of a suspect, Damarius Johnson. Detectives with the Special Operations Homicide Unit took Johnson into custody and charged him with criminal homicide in connection with Killebrew's death. Following his arrest, Johnson was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
The investigation into the shooting that claimed Adrian Killebrew's life remained active as authorities continued to piece together the events of that tragic morning. Law enforcement officials urged anyone with additional information to come forward to assist in the ongoing case. The community was left to mourn the loss of a man whose life was taken in a senseless act of violence.
