On a spring evening in Clarksville, Tennessee, the pleasant atmosphere of a cookout was shattered by sudden violence. On March 23, 2015, Vincent Pardue, a 27-year-old male, was gathered with a group of people on Carpenter Street when they came under fire in a drive-by shooting. The attack was swift and devastating, leaving multiple individuals with injuries. Pardue, however, suffered a fatal wound and died as a result of the shooting.
Four other men, identified as Timothy Russell, Dajuan Dowlen, Tony Greene Jr., and Quinton Fentress, were also injured in the incident and transported to area hospitals for treatment.
The Clarksville Police Department immediately launched an investigation into the deadly shooting. Detectives and a crime scene team responded to the scene to gather evidence and piece together the events of that tragic night. In the early stages of their investigation, authorities identified a vehicle of interest: a white Kia Soul with Tennessee license plate R0393D. It was reported that the vehicle was occupied by three Black males. An alert was issued to the public, seeking any information that could lead to the whereabouts of the car and its occupants.
Despite the initial leads, the investigation into Vincent Pardue's murder has grown cold over the years. No arrests have ever been made in connection with the shooting, and the case remains one of Clarksville's unsolved homicides. Law enforcement officials and Crime Stoppers have periodically re-appealed to the public for any new information that could help them bring closure to Pardue's family. A reward has been offered for tips leading to an arrest and conviction, but as of now, the individuals responsible for the death of Vincent Pardue and the wounding of four others remain at large. His family continues to wait for answers and for justice to be served.
