James Lamont Alexander, a 28-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on September 15, 2014, in Nashville, TN. He was fatally shot on Herman Street near the Andrew Jackson Courts public housing complex. Responding officers found him with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and he was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
