Maged Ghaly, a 49-year-old Egyptian-American man, was tragically killed on August 22, 2020, while working at Danial Market in East Nashville, Tennessee. Ghaly, who was known affectionately as "Mike" to his customers, was shot during an attempted robbery at the market he owned. The incident occurred around 12:17 a.m., when a masked suspect entered the store and shot Ghaly in the neck. A customer discovered Ghaly's body shortly after the shooting.
