On January 4, 2016, John Marshall "John-John" Kyle, a 29-year-old African American male, was fatally shot in East Knoxville, Tennessee. Born on August 22, 1986, John was the son of Shelia "Becky" Kyle and the late Michael S. Rodgers. He was a devoted father to his young son, Julez "Mookie" Hill. John was known for his laid-back and silly personality, endearing him to family and friends alike.
