In the spring of 2016, a life was tragically cut short in South Memphis. Deandra Claxton, a 30-year-old male, found himself in a fatal altercation on the evening of May 3rd. The intersection of Phillips and McLemore, a stone's throw from the renowned Stax Music Academy, became the scene of a violent encounter that would end Claxton's life.
