On a Sunday evening in Grand Junction, Tennessee, the life of 36-year-old Demetrius Hoyle was tragically cut short. It was around 9:30 p.m. on May 8, 2016, on Tippah Street when the fatal shooting occurred. In a desperate plea for help, the driver of the vehicle Hoyle was a passenger in flagged down a state trooper at the intersection of Highway 57 and Tippah Street, reporting that his passenger had been shot.
