In the late summer of 2016, the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee, was rocked by the violent death of one of its elderly residents. George Garth, a 78-year-old male, was found deceased on September 22, a victim of gun violence. His death was quickly ruled a homicide, prompting an investigation by the Chattanooga Police Department. Friends and acquaintances of Garth remembered him as a devoted churchgoer, a man of faith whose life was unexpectedly cut short.
