On May 14, 2025, 27-year-old Jamel Daeshun Sutton was fatally shot in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The incident occurred outside an apartment complex on North Hickory Street around 3:45 p.m. when Chattanooga police responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found Sutton suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities identified 34-year-old Demontra Quintez Collins as the suspect in the shooting. C
