Jermaine Ivory, a 42-year-old Black man, was killed on the evening of December 13, 2016, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was outside his home in the 1900 block of 14th Avenue North, helping another man hang Christmas lights, when gunfire erupted. Ivory was shot and later pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe he may have exchanged gunfire with as many as four individuals.
