Leland Butler, an 18-year-old from St. Louis, Missouri, was killed on May 8, 2017, in a tragic shooting. According to police reports, Butler was driving in the 3600 block of Michigan Avenue in south St. Louis when he was shot. The attack caused him to crash his vehicle, and emergency responders later pronounced him dead at the scene. The investigation revealed that Butler was targeted while driving, making this another instance of vehicular gun violence that has plagued the area.
