Death by Force

On June 16, 2017, Malcolm Shurn, age 25, was killed in St. Louis, Missouri, as a result of gun violence. He was found inside a vehicle, which had crashed into a building following the shooting. Malcolm’s death occurred during a time when gun violence was rampant across the city, contributing to a particularly difficult year for residents and authorities in St. Louis.
