Kuyvonta Cain, also known as Kuyvonta Nabaa, was a 20-year-old African American man who tragically lost his life on June 5, 2017, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was walking with a woman near the intersection of 1st Avenue South and Carroll Street when he was confronted by two armed men. An exchange of gunfire ensued, and Cain was shot multiple times as he attempted to flee the scene. Despite being rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, he succumbed to his injuries.
