In the summer of 2017, a burst of gunfire shattered the late-night quiet in a Nashville neighborhood, snuffing out the life of 35-year-old Timothy Orlando White. The Black / African American man was fatally shot just after midnight on June 22 in the 600 block of 41st Avenue North. Private vehicle transported a critically wounded White to Nashville General Hospital. Despite the urgent efforts to save him, he was later pronounced dead at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
