In the summer of 2017, a burst of gunfire in a North Nashville neighborhood claimed the life of 31-year-old Charles Eugene Smith. The shooting, which occurred on July 2nd, also left two other individuals wounded, turning a Sunday evening into a scene of violence and loss. Emergency services responded to reports of a shootout, and upon their arrival, they discovered the three victims.
