In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Nashville, a dispute over money tragically escalated, leaving 35-year-old Ivorie Jermale Lee, a male, dead from a gunshot wound. The incident unfolded on February 2, 2025, in the parking lot of a Z-Mart convenience store located at 803 Dickerson Pike.
Lee had arranged to meet William Montez Hall, 38, at the market to discuss money that Hall owed him.
During their conversation outside the store, the interaction turned violent when Lee punched Hall in the face. In response to the punch, Hall allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Lee before fleeing the scene. Emergency services transported Lee to Skyline Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after his arrival.
Following an investigation by Homicide Unit detectives, William Montez Hall was identified as the suspect. He was subsequently charged with criminal homicide for the fatal shooting of Ivorie Lee. In addition to the homicide charge, Hall also faces a charge of unlawful gun possession by a convicted felon. Initially, police had sought the public's help in identifying the man responsible for the shooting before their investigation led them to Hall.
