In the summer of 2017, the life of Elmer Armstrong, Jr., a 40-year-old African American man, was tragically cut short in Memphis, Tennessee. On the evening of July 21st, he was discovered inside his 1994 Chevrolet Silverado in the 500 block of Harahan Street in the southwest part of the city. He had been shot multiple times.
