On December 20, 2023, in Satsuma, Alabama, 47-year-old Chad Olin Bahm was fatally shot during a domestic altercation. The incident occurred at 5519 3rd Street, where Bahm intervened in a dispute between Emmanuel Campbell, 25, and Campbell's child's mother. As family members attempted to de-escalate the situation, Campbell retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and shot Bahm in the chest. Bahm was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
