In the summer of 2023, a dispute in Southwest Memphis culminated in the tragic death of Charles Mitchell. On the evening of July 30th, an argument escalated, leading to Mitchell being fatally shot. His body was discovered on the side of the road, prompting an investigation by the Memphis Police Department.
