Malik Khayyum, a 19-year-old DJ known around Nashville as DJ Malik, tragically died on August 4, 2017, from an accidental shooting in Talbot's Corner. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Donald Street, near Dickerson Pike. According to police reports, Malik was holding a pistol when it accidentally discharged as another person attempted to retrieve the weapon.
