On a late spring afternoon in Kansas City, Missouri, tragedy struck an 18-year-old man. Lorenzo Mitchell’s life was cut short on May 27, 2017, in a violent encounter that left another man wounded. The shooting occurred in the 2100 block of Kansas Avenue, where police were dispatched following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, officers discovered two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were rushed to a local hospital for medical attention.
