Lorenzo Mitchell, age 18, was fatally shot on May 28, 2017, in Kansas City, Missouri. On that day, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2100 block of Kansas Avenue. Upon arrival, they found two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where Lorenzo Mitchell succumbed to his injuries. The other victim was treated and later released.
