Deaundre Shannon, an 8-year-old African American boy from Memphis, Tennessee, tragically died on August 20, 2017, from a gunshot wound. The incident occurred when Deaundre and another child found a loaded handgun that had been placed on a bed by their father, Corderro Wilhite.
