In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 23-year-old Simi Girley was tragically cut short. On May 12, 2013, at approximately 2:30 a.m., police responded to a call of a possible shooting in the 5000 block of Steuben. Upon their arrival, they discovered Girley, a Black male, in the driver's seat of his 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. He had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
