Stephanie Jackson, a 56-year-old senior vice president at Wells Fargo, was found deceased in her South 9th Street home on November 16, 2017. Her death was the result of a shooting that authorities have described as an apparent murder-suicide.
Originally from Creston, Iowa, Jackson had built a successful career that took her to Phoenix and San Francisco before she ultimately settled in Nashville. Described by those who knew her as a caring and loving person with a vibrant energy for life, she was known for her warm smile and her ability to make others laugh. A survivor of breast cancer, she was a mother to two sons, Jared and Jacob Ehm.
The investigation into the deaths of Jackson and her boyfriend, 61-year-old Wolfgang Blair, led police to conclude that Blair shot and killed Jackson before turning the gun on himself. The couple resided in the home where the incident occurred. While the motive for the murder-suicide has not been publicly detailed, the event brought a sudden and violent end to the lives of both individuals.
Friends and family were left to mourn the loss of a woman remembered as a terrific mother, friend, and mentor with a strong work ethic. A memorial service was held in Phoenix, Arizona, to honor her memory.
