Marqondis Terif Thompson, affectionately known as “Y G Mista,” was a 21-year-old male of African American ethnicity who tragically lost his life on May 2, 2018, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was fatally shot inside Medusa Nashville, a hookah bar on Church Street, during an altercation between two groups. Thompson was struck by gunfire and later pronounced dead at the hospital. A second victim, David Young, 22, was also injured in the shooting but survived with non-life-threatening injuries.
