In the summer of 2018, a meeting in a Clarksville, Tennessee apartment complex parking lot took a fatal turn, leaving a young man dead and setting off a multi-year investigation that would lead to the arrests of three individuals. The deceased was James Wells, a 30-year-old male who was found with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle on June 5, 2018, at The Verge apartments on Nolen Road. He was transported to Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville where he succumbed to his injuries.
