On July 11, 2017, John W. Waldon, age 31, was killed in Kansas City, Missouri, during a violent weekend that left seven people dead. Waldon, along with two other men from Tulsa—Andre L. Barnes and Darren L. Harris—was involved in a series of shootings linked to a drug dispute. Harris was in Kansas City to collect money owed from a previous PCP deal.
