Judith Nye, a 75-year-old woman from Farragut, Tennessee, was found dead on November 3, 2018, in what authorities have identified as a murder-suicide. The Knox County Sheriff's Office reported that Judith Nye was fatally shot by her 54-year-old son, James Nye, who then took his own life. The bodies of Judith and James were discovered in their home in the Village Green subdivision after a family member, concerned about not hearing from them for several days, requested a welfare check.
