On a tragic day in May of 2019, the life of 24-year-old Andrew 'Drew' Werner was cut short in Millington, Tennessee. The young man, a White/Caucasian male originally from Corinth, Mississippi, was found inside a home in the 4200 block of West Briar, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, Werner succumbed to his injuries on May 13, 2019.
The Millington Police Department, in conjunction with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, launched a thorough investigation into the shooting. Their efforts quickly led to the identification and arrest of a suspect. Caleb Evans, a 26-year-old man, was taken into custody shortly after the incident and was subsequently charged with second-degree murder in connection with Werner's death. Authorities have indicated that they are not seeking any other suspects in this case.
