In the quiet town of Millington, Tennessee, the life of 51-year-old Cleate Andrew Davis, a Caucasian male, was violently cut short on December 18, 2014. Having recently overcome a battle with cancer, the devastating turn of events that followed brought profound grief to his family and community. His body was discovered inside his burning Ford pickup truck, which was found abandoned in a ditch. An investigation swiftly determined that Davis had been shot twice in the face.

The circumstances surrounding his death pointed to a robbery that had escalated to a brutal murder. Authorities identified two individuals known to Davis as the primary suspects: 34-year-old Aleasha Cox and her accomplice, Morrieo Allen. The investigation revealed that the pair had allegedly robbed Davis, a violent encounter that ended with his death.

In the days that followed the grim discovery, law enforcement officials worked quickly to bring the perpetrators to justice. Aleasha Cox was taken into custody and reportedly admitted her role in the crime. Morrieo Allen initially evaded capture, leading to a manhunt that ultimately resulted in his arrest. Both Cox and Allen were subsequently charged with first-degree murder in the perpetration of a robbery.

The senselessness of the crime was compounded by the fact that Davis had just been given a clean bill of health after his fight with cancer. His family, including his two daughters and young granddaughters, were left to grapple with the sudden and violent loss of a man who had already faced and overcome a life-threatening illness. The case proceeded to the judicial system, with both suspects facing the serious charge of murder for their alleged actions.
