On a warm evening in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 57-year-old Glenn Walton Cofield was tragically cut short on June 7, 2019. Cofield, a male, had just left a charity event for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with his wife. As they were getting into their car in the parking lot of the Greater Lewis Street Missionary Baptist Church, an unknown assailant approached them in what authorities believe was an attempted robbery.
