George Carpenter, a 71-year-old Caucasian male, tragically lost his life on September 15, 2019, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Shelby Golf Course where he worked part-time. Carpenter was leaving work just before 7 p.m. when he was fatally wounded by gunfire. His son, Jason Carpenter, recounted that the incident happened within 15 seconds, and the shooter did not even get out of their car.
