Mahlon Tyrone Prater, a 42-year-old African American male from Knoxville, Tennessee, tragically passed away on November 1, 2019. He was found lying in the road at 942 Piney Grove Church Road and was treated for head trauma but was pronounced dead at UT Medical Center. The Knoxville Police Department reported that Prater had been hit by a car, and the investigation into his death was ongoing at the time.
