In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 27-year-old Anthony W. Travis was tragically cut short. On December 11, 2019, an altercation that began inside James Lounge on Summer Avenue spilled out into the parking lot, erupting in gunfire just before 12:30 a.m. When the violence subsided, Mr. Travis, a Black male, was found deceased at the scene, a victim of the fatal shooting.
