Alfred James Williams, Sr., a 61-year-old African American man from Chattanooga, Tennessee, tragically lost his life on December 31, 2019. He was a dedicated employee at the Brainerd Walmart and a loving father of five. On that fateful day, Williams was caught in a crossfire while on a break outside the store. Witnesses reported that he heroically pushed a woman out of the way and told her to run before being shot himself. He was reportedly shot three times and succumbed to his injuries.
