On March 1, 2024, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, six-year-old Ailin Smith and her mother, 25-year-old Jessica Smith, were tragically killed in a murder-suicide incident. The perpetrator, identified as 29-year-old Christian Gil, fatally shot both Jessica and Ailin before taking his own life.
