Lakita Ranice Hicks, a 25-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on January 31, 2016, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was a 2009 graduate of Ooltewah High School and left behind a son, her parents Pauletta and Randall Hicks, and a brother. Her funeral service was held on February 12, 2016, at Olivet Baptist Church, and she was laid to rest in Forest Hills Cemetery.
