On April 20, 2020, Christopher Todd Lane, a 39-year-old man from Big Stone Gap, Virginia, was found dead in the parking lot of a convenience store in Kingsport, Tennessee. The Kingsport Police Department responded to the scene early that morning and launched an investigation into the incident. The victim was identified as Christopher Todd Lane, who was 39 years old at the time of his death.
