In the early morning hours of April 20, 2020, a sense of unease settled over a convenience store parking lot in Kingsport, Tennessee, as 39-year-old Christopher Todd Lane, a White male from Big Stone Gap, Virginia, was found deceased. The discovery, made around 4:50 a.m. at the intersection of Fort Henry Drive and Eastman Road, immediately launched a homicide investigation by the Kingsport Police Department.
