Death by Force

James Terry Dowdy, a 68-year-old man from Memphis, Tennessee, was tragically killed on July 2, 2020. According to police reports, Dowdy was lured out of his home by his neighbor, LA "Popeye" Parrish, who then set Dowdy's car on fire and shot him multiple times. Dowdy was found suffering from his injuries when first responders arrived, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Parrish was later arrested and charged with first-degree murder and setting fire to personal property.
