In the early hours of a summer morning in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 31-year-old Christopher Robinson, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On July 10, 2022, just before 2 a.m., gunfire erupted in the 2100 block of Elvis Presley Boulevard at a tire shop in South Memphis. Robinson was in attendance at a music video recording being filmed at the location when the shooting occurred.
Responding to the chaotic scene, emergency services found Robinson in critical condition.
He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal. Two other men were also wounded in the incident and were taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.
In the wake of the shooting, the Memphis Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide. However, details regarding a motive or the circumstances that led to the shooting have not been publicly released. To date, there has been no information made available about any potential suspects, and no arrests have been announced in connection with the death of Christopher Robinson.
